Our story.

ABC stands for Australian Born Chinese. ABC Pastry’s story began in 1998, when a couple from Shanghai, China, moved to Australia. Missing the comforting aroma of dumplings and baos in the Shanghai streets, they began recreating the taste of home through their traditional dumplings and soup dumplings. Soon enough, they moved into their factory in Villawood, NSW, where they began tirelessly manufacturing and delivering the signature ABC dumplings to Chinese communities and independent stores. ABC Pastry has become one of the most authentic and beloved brands among Asian communities, with its dumplings available in Asian grocers nationwide and selected independent supermarkets.

In 2024, the couple sought a successor to continue their story and chose Nissin Foods Company Limited (1475.hk). This succession positions ABC Pastry to enhance its brand and broaden its reach. ABC Pastry is set to grow its distribution network, bringing the authentic taste of Shanghai to food lovers worldwide while maintaining the quality and traditional recipes that have made ABC Pastry a favourite among Asian communities.
